Well, well, well. Happy New Year to you all, who are into that sort of thing. I trust everyone spent Sunday very hung over, as I did. So I headed over to Denis' house, whom I haven't seen since he quit here at Cendant, so needless to say I was a little bit excited. Later on, when I was back home, my sister who had come along to drop me off said, "When you went in the door, did you pick Denis up?" And I didn't, he just jumped on me. I heard him pounding down the stairs and round the corner and he just jumped on me. God, I missed that boy. We started to drink a little at his place and then around 10pm, decided we might head out to the bar to get the party started. We had tickets to Boom, which they only sold 120 of and we got tickets 110 and 111 the night before. Of course, no one was there at 10pm, so we sat around, feeling like losers for a couple of hours before anyone showed up, and even then it was only old people. This worried me immensely, until some cooler looking people happened by. In the meantime, neither of us felt the effects of the two coolers (each) and shot of rum (each) that we had had at Denis' place, so we kept making trips to the bar, insisting to the waitresses that we "aren't drunk enough". She asked us to pick a color. Denis first picked red, and brought back an intrestingly non-alcoholic tasting drink. After that, the bar tender asked us if we felt sorta "greeny-bluey", so we took something that I vaguely think she might have called "Robot Dance" (?) whatever it was, it was super expensive, two shots cost something like $14.50! We took a shot of that and waited.. and waited... and waited... and waited until Denis insisted that the waitresses were obviously not putting alcohol in our drinks, so we went back, for tequila, which has usually always been my "biggest mistake" when I go out drinking because it tastes like vomit when it goes down and it tastes like vomit when it comes back up but it usually has the best sober-to-drunk turnaround time. Unfortunately, for us, on New Years Eve, it did not. I do have to hand it to Denis, he did a formidable job of drinking just as much as I did and also staying about as sober as I did, which is impressive considering the giant difference in our sizes, he has the body of a 12 year old boy (still love ya, Denis!). And so, because I can't possibly find a way to put the entire sequence of the evening in some semblance of chronological order, nor possibly make it run all together in any kind of sense, you again get an entry in point form! - There were hors d'oeuvres, consisting of meats and cheeses and little crackers, but then also SHRIMP!!! and fake crab meat (!!!) which sat out for several hours. I pity the people who ate it. I can't even imagine eating something like seafood when you're drunk let alone seafood that has been sitting out for many hours as this had. - There were two beautiful drag queens there. One of which was Valerie's friend from school, DJ. He made a very nice woman, except that he had something that looked very much like a fishnet thong on, and was wearing a short skirt. On more than one occasion, I saw him upside down, or lifting his leg, and happened to see a fishnet-encased bag and balls. Very attractive. Let me tell you, if I never have to see another man's genitals again, I will be happy. - The other drag queen was amazing. The man must have been at least 6'4'' without shoes, but she also had a set of massive, four inch heels on his feet. When she went into the men's washroom, her whole head and shoulders stuck out over the top of the stall. Her name? THE illustrious Miss Kitty Diamond. Meow. What a thrill. - Denis came into the girl's washroom, some girl told him he was hot. He reminded me twice more through the rest of the night (and even after we had gone into his room and laid down in bed and were chatting) that that girl had said he was hot. - Shellylies showed up, and we chatted with her a little bit, but I generally tried to avoid her like I usually do. Denis liked her, he told me she reminded him of Pink. - A former theatre coach of Denis' showed up and proceeded to dance REALLY crazy. Denis told me not to look at him but I couldn't help it. He came over and talked to us once on the dance floor, and then when we were sitting on the leather couches, he came over and chatted. At the end of the conversation, he goes "ARE YOU GAY?!" and Denis said no, and I leaned forward and said "I'm not either!!" - Brett showed up and I glommed him. - I fell in love with a beautiful shaggy-haired, sunglasses wearing guy that was just too cool for words. - I tried to hit on the regular DJ (or the DJ that I like anyways) who was manning the doors instead of playing music. - They played "I like to move it", and we all danced, and MOVED IT MOVED IT! - And that's about it, unfortunately. I don't remember much else!
